“Tocorimé Pamatojari” means “Adventurous Spirit”, in the native tongue of the Kulina tribe of the Brazilian Amazon.

Built in Santarém, Pará, “the Amazon” (location “2026’58”S, 54045’40”W) by the founders and creators of this project, supervising & training local hand craftsman in harmony. An assurance that this historical vessel promises much more than just a name. Working with extremely limited resources (A “No Budget” Project) it’s founders René Gerardus de Bruijn, Markus Lehmann, Kit & Markus Smit were truly in an adventurous spirit as they found themselves sweating it out in the Jungle amongst snakes, poisonous insects, terrifying heat and an absolute isolation that only exists in the Brazilian Amazon.

So - here we go and what a view. This is one of the most beautiful places to go.
